Staying at Iron Horse was a very positive experience for my work trip. The location is ideal, just a short transit ride to Amsterdam's key attractions. The hotel was impeccably clean, and the bed was comfortable, allowing for a restful stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing luggage storage upon my early arrival. Additionally, the nearby fresh market was a great convenience for snacks and drinks.

No elevators may be challenging for some guests.

The cleanliness of the room was appalling. There was dust everywhere, and I found old food under the bed. The bathroom was disgusting with mold all over the ceiling. We encountered rude housekeepers who barged in during checkout, making the experience even more stressful.

We loved exploring the nearby cafes and enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere of the city. My advice? Ask for a lower floor if you're not keen on climbing steep stairs!

The nearby seafood spot, The Seafood Bar van Baerlestraat, is a must-try for fresh dishes that'll make your taste buds dance. Plus, the easy access to cafés like Umami by Han and Thai Restaurant Sawaddee Ka means you're never far from local flavor! Also, the minibar is a handy touch for storing your own snacks.

While the dining scene shines, the room was a bit of a letdown—certain amenities were lacking, and cleanliness was questionable. That said, the staff did acknowledge the issues, which was better than being left in the dark!

The room was quite small, and the mattress was lumpy. There were no bedside lamps which made reading at night difficult. Unfortunately, I also encountered issues with the WiFi being inconsistent and low bandwidth throughout my stay.
